The Old is Out…

Each New Year it seems that so many of us want to make changes. Out with the old and in with the new. We can make changes to so many things in our life, clothes, hair, diet, or lifestyle.
But have we made a heart change in our life? Whether it is an attitude change or the biggest change of all. Giving our life to Christ and his teaching. Read the verse below:

2 Corinthians 5:17New International Version (NIV)
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, The old has gone, the new is here!

Once we have chosen to accept Christ and live life with him, we are a new creation. All of the old is out! This is our chance to DECIDE that we want to live in a new and different way. Living a life in Christ can be challenging but the rewards are immeasurable. Jesus gives us hope, strength, joy and above all else love. Not conditional love but love that is unending. We are forgiven of our sins and guided through our future through the power of the holy spirit.
When we have committed to a relationship with Jesus Christ we have also committed to an entirely new life, an everlasting life.

The situations of life will come and go but with Christ, we can move through situations without fear or wonder. There are no situations larger than him, there is no love greater than his, there is an endless supply of grace that is sufficient for us all.

To the believer, I encourage you to reevaluate your walk with Christ and make the necessary changes to align your life according to his teaching.

To the non-believer, I encourage you to step into the grace that God has waiting for you. There is life and there is hope in Jesus Christ. If you are not sure where to start please contact me.

Happy New Year, happy new life!
