Wait!

The verse below is quite refreshing for me. The beautiful attributes of God stand out and provide an enormous amount of reassurance and comfort.

Isaiah 30:18 New International Version (NIV)

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!

We serve a God who is gracious. He provides GRACE even when we are undeserving. Here on earth we often pick and choose who to extend Grace too. The Lord extends his grace to ALL, no matter our sins. To give his son’s life for each and every one of us shows an abundant amount of Grace.

We serve a God who is compassionate. As Jesus walked the streets he cared for the lost, the hurting, the ill. He exercises compassion to each of us no matter how big or small the hurt is.

We also serve a God of Justice. We are covered in all situations, he will see to it that wrongs are made right. He will see to it that we are blessed abundantly because we choose to wait on him and his goodness rather than trying to solve all things alone.

Whatever you are going through, I encourage you to wait. Wait on the God who wants to bless you, be gracious and compassionate to you and provide justice in your situations.

Lioness…

Regardless of who you voted for Ladies remember this :You are a lioness, strong and courageous, you can have ANYTHING in life even if you are a woman! You have the right to demand respect and good treatment from all people, even men.

According to God you are the head and not the tail, you are fearfully and wonderfully made! Embrace who you are today, a fearfully and wonderfully made lioness !

Above…

Today, with so much negativity swirling around us we need to remember to set our eyes on things above. God has unabounding love and grace constantly pouring out on us. We have no need to cling to earthly things for our greatest gifts our with the one above .

Colossians 3:2New International Version (NIV)2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

If we find that we are focusing on negativity we need to stop, pray and shift our focus back to heavenly things! There is so much to rejoice for if we focus on the good, positive things.

Commander….

The Lord put a question in my heart today, with all the chaos of the upcoming election. That question is Who is your Commander and Chief? I have heard a lot of people say I am worried that if so and so is president, this will happen. The response is well I am afraid if the other party wins, this will happen.
Truth be told, there is no reason for worry or fear. God controls it all. Look at the verse below:

Joshua 1:9New International Version (NIV)

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

If God commands us to be strong and courageous, and if he tells us he is with us in all circumstances, don’t you think that he has a hand in this election? Absolutely! As the real Commander and Chief, the Lord lines everything up in life according to his will. Regardless of the outcome, it is up to us to trust God, I assure you he knows what he is doing.

Swords to Discouragement…

Protected. That’s what we are ! We are protected by a great God! There is nothing, NOTHING, that can be done against the children of God that will Prevail ! There will be people in the world who will attempt to harm us, whether it be with a gossiping tongue or a sword. But we must stand in faith because God says No Weapon, not some weapons will prevail. Anything that the Lord has decided for ourselves or our families will come to pass in his timing for his glory.

The next time that someone gossips about you, let it roll off your back because That talk won’t stand ! We are standing in the favor of a God whose love covers us from every weapon!

Isaiah 54:17New International Version (NIV)17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,  and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord  and this is their vindication from me,”declares the Lord.

Only Heads…

God has provided so many beautiful promises for us. My auntie reminded me of this word today:

Deuteronomy 28:13New International Version (NIV)

13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
This is such a refreshing lesson in trust and discernment. Following the commands that the Lord has given, provides the assurance that we need to keep moving forward. Moving ahead. He is guiding every single one of our steps and he has already set our destination . Fearing the unknown ? No, smile that our future is already planned and planned in a manner that shows he always wants us to shine.  We should have no fear of the unknown but be overjoyed that those who follow him will always be the head and not the tail !

Thank you Jesus that we can leave the past behind and move ahead !

With God…

How often in life do things seem impossible for us?  How often do we question whether or not God can change something about our situations? Life is filled with highs and lows. At times we may feel like our future looks bleak.  The way that we should really feel though, is absolutely covered, protected, Blessed, joyful and hopeful! In God’s word we learn that nothing is impossible for God.

Luke 18:27New International Version (NIV)27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

Do you know what this means? God is not bound by limitations as we are.  He is all knowing, he is the beginning and end of all things, he is perfect.    When a situation arises we need to be faithful and confident that no matter how big the mountain in front of us looks, nothing is impossible for him! Thank you father! Practice telling yourself and others, that you love a God with no limitations and all things are possible with him!
